“Fish on the Line” is about Steve Smith, a middle-aged Muslim man working covertly with the American government. He wants to protect his faith from extremists and believes in the American dream of freedom, liberty and justice for all. When one of Steve’s catches turns out to be an innocent kid wanting love, Steve realizes that the American dream is perversely protected by the fearful government of today.

The graphic novel and screenplay touch upon the personal choices people make in their desire to reach Paradise. It speaks to the need to preserve those values that build the American dream and to honor the greatest gift of all - Love.
